The University of Alabama community is shaped by the different backgrounds and shared experiences of each person on our campus. Crossroads Community Center sponsors and co-sponsors events throughout the year that celebrate the cultural traditions of the Capstone and the nation. Through these celebrations, the campus can learn about African American, Asian Pacific American, European American, Hispanic-Latino American, Native American cultures and many more. Examples of cultural heritage celebrations we coordinate are Native American Heritage Month, Scottish Tartan Day, and United Nations Day. Through these efforts, members of the University of Alabama community can learn about one another's cultural traditions and engage in intercultural conversation on campus. A college campus is a vibrant community, and the college years are precious opportunities for personal growth. Through our initiatives, the Crossroads Community Center provides opportunities for intercultural discussion, candid conversation, and personal development. Each day of the year, we honor the cultures that grace our campus through our programs: Community Conversations, Intercultural Leadership Program, Interfaith Understanding, and Sustained Dialogue. In this way, we celebrate the spirit of the University of Alabama where tradition is a living inheritance and today’s students create tomorrow’s legacy.

The Crossroads Community Center provides campus leadership in the areas of cultural programming and intercultural education. The people of Crossroads
